Professional makeup in Málaga for events and wedding guests
At Narumi, a beauty centre in Málaga city centre, Marta Fernández offers professional makeup for events and wedding guests. She holds a master's in professional makeup and specialises in colour theory, so she adapts shades and technique to your skin, your features and the lighting at your event. She works with face-shape analysis, preps the skin before applying makeup and aims for a finish that lasts all day and looks great in photos. A session takes around an hour, by appointment.

- A finish suited to your skin tone, undertone and features
- Makeup that lasts longer throughout your event
- Looking good in photos, both with flash and in natural light
- Confidence: you arrive without worrying about your makeup

- It doesn't replace good skincare in the days beforehand
- It isn't permanent or semi-permanent makeup
Is it right for you?
Ideal for
- Guests at weddings, christenings and first communions
- Mothers of the bride and groom, and other close family
- Dinners, galas, graduations and work events
- Photo or video shoots where you want to look your best
When we don't carry it out
- Active eye or skin infections, such as conjunctivitis or a cold sore
- Wounds, sunburn or significant irritation on the face
- Known allergies to cosmetic ingredients that you haven't told us about
- Intensive facial treatments in the days before (chemical peel, Dermapen) that haven't been planned with us
If you're unsure about your own situation, check with your doctor first. We'll go through it with you at your initial consultation.
Your session, step by step
-
Talking about your event
We ask what the event is, what time it starts, whether it's daytime or evening, what you're wearing and what style you like. Feel free to bring reference photos.
-
Skin prep
We cleanse and moisturise your face and apply a primer suited to your skin type so the makeup settles and lasts.
-
Face shape and colour
We look at your features and skin tone to decide where to highlight, where to add depth and which colours suit you.
-
Makeup and setting
We build the makeup in thin layers and set it so it lasts. At the end we check it with you in natural light, and in a photo if you like.
Makeup designed for you, not for a trend
Good event makeup doesn’t look like makeup: it just looks like you, at your best. To achieve that, Marta Fernández relies on two skills she has trained in, face-shape analysis and colour theory. She holds a master’s in professional makeup and has more than 15 years’ experience in beauty therapy, which translates into something very practical: she knows how to prepare the skin before applying makeup.
Colour theory guides the base and the shades. It’s not just about matching your skin colour, but its undertone, whether warm, cool or neutral, and how it reacts to the light at your event. A shade that works at a midday wedding in Málaga can look flat at a dinner under warm lighting.
Events and wedding guests: what changes
- Events: dinners, galas, graduations, photo shoots. Usually a few hours, and very much shaped by the lighting and your outfit.
- Wedding guests: weddings, christenings, first communions. A long day of heat, hugs and photos, so the makeup has to hold up without constant touch-ups.
- Mothers of the couple and close family: we aim for an elegant finish that complements the bride without competing with her, and looks natural in group photos.
If you’re the bride, the approach is different and begins with a trial. We explain it all on our bridal makeup page.
Photos and staying power
Photos are the real test. Flash can make some products look white and ghostly, while natural light shows up heavy layers. That’s why we work in thin layers, control shine without dulling the skin and set everything at the end. Before you leave, we check it with you in natural light and, if you like, with a quick phone photo.
Before your event
Well-cared-for skin holds makeup better. If you like, you can book a deep cleansing facial or a lip hydration treatment in the days beforehand so your skin is at its best. What’s best avoided is trying out any intensive treatment for the first time in the week of your event.
After your session
Aftercare
- Try not to touch your face for the first hour
- For touch-ups, just take your lipstick and some blotting papers
- After the event, remove your makeup thoroughly and apply your usual moisturiser

What our clients say
Frequently asked questions
Where can I get my makeup done for an event in Málaga?
At Narumi, Calle Cristo de la Epidemia 33, in Málaga city centre, a few minutes' walk from the historic centre and La Victoria. Makeup is done in the treatment room, in good light and without any rush. Book ahead by WhatsApp or phone on +34 611 500 328, especially in wedding season. Appointments are in Spanish, but message us on WhatsApp and we'll do our best to help.
How much does event or wedding guest makeup cost?
You'll find the prices in the table on this page. If it says 'Ask us', send us a WhatsApp message with the date and type of event and we'll get back to you with a price. If several people are going to the same event, let us know so we can plan the timings.
How long does the makeup last?
We create it to last through the day or evening of your event. How long it lasts also depends on your skin type, the heat and how often you touch your face. That's why we prep the skin carefully, work in thin layers and set everything at the end. For touch-ups, your lipstick is all you need.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better, especially from April to October, when most weddings and first communions in Málaga take place. Message us as soon as you know the date and time of your event to secure your slot.
What is face-shape analysis and why does it matter?
Face-shape analysis (known in Spain as visagismo) is the study of facial proportions and features to decide where to highlight, where to add depth and how to shape brows, eyes and lips. Marta combines it with colour theory to choose shades that flatter your skin rather than simply following a trend.
What products do you use?
We use professional makeup chosen for its staying power, buildable coverage and how it performs on camera. If you have sensitive skin, known allergies or a product you feel more comfortable with, let us know when you book and we'll take it into account.
How should I arrive?
With a clean face, no makeup on and your usual moisturiser applied. If you're also having your hair done, coordinate the order of appointments. Bring a photo of your outfit and, if there's a particular look you love, your references.
Do you offer makeup at home or at the venue?
We do makeup at the centre, where we have the right light, space and all our kit to hand. If you have a specific need for the day of your event, message us on WhatsApp and we'll talk it through.
Can I have a facial before my event?
Yes, and it helps your makeup look its best, but leave some margin: ideally a few days before, not on the day itself. Avoid chemical peels or Dermapen in the week before unless we've planned it together, as your skin may be more sensitive.
What's the difference between event makeup and bridal makeup?
Event or guest makeup is done in a single session on the day. Bridal makeup starts with a trial to define the style, match shades to the light and the dress, and check how long it lasts. A bride also needs makeup that holds up through many hours, plenty of emotion and close-up photography.
